New Luxembourg Development

New Luxembourg Development

The natural beauty of this pastoral area creates the perfect backdrop for the New Luxembourg Development, a 150-acre development located in the Village of Belgium in Ozaukee County.

The vision for the development is to showcase the history and culture of the European country of Luxembourg since this region of Wisconsin proudly has one of the largest populations of Luxembourg immigrants and their descendants in the United States. Residential, commercial, civil and cultural properties have been carefully designed and built to preserve this vision as the development has grown.

New Luxembourg’s showpiece is the Luxembourg American Cultural Center, the only cultural center in the world celebrating the unique heritage of Luxembourgers. The Cultural Center features a museum housed in a stone barn built locally in 1872 by a Luxembourg immigrant and is a masterpiece of preservation. The museum depicts the history of Luxembourg both past and present.  It illustrates the story of Luxembourg immigration to America and the impact of Luxembourgers on the fabric of the United States as it is today.

At the center of the development is the New Luxembourg Village Square. The Village of Belgium Town Hall has been created with the intentions of replicating a typical village square in Luxembourg. The Village Square serves as a community gathering area. It features a beautiful plaza and gardens that are often the venue for local events and activities throughout the year. This is an especially popular spot in the summer months when visitors of all ages can enjoy the splash pad fountains.

The first two phases of energy efficient single-family home construction has been completed and we anticipate completing phase 3 in 2017. We currently have 15 homes completed, and 3 under construction and available for sale.
